General Assembly of Civil Protection 2025

The General Assembly of Civil Protection will occur from April 4 to 6, 2025, at the Confindustria headquarters in Rome. This event will bring together institutions, the scientific community, and operational structures to collaboratively discuss the future of the National Service.
The event will enhance collaboration among international, national, and regional stakeholders. It aims to establish a comprehensive model that will lay the groundwork for the future of civil protection as an integrated system of skills and competencies. This system will be better equipped to tackle the new challenges that the country must address.
Six thematic panels will be organized to explore key topics in civil protection: Emergencies, Legislation, Prevention, Technologies, Territory, and Volunteering.
The General Assembly's meeting is not open to the public, but it can be followed on April 4 and 6 through live streaming on the Department's website and YouTube channel.

3. Volunteering
The future of Civil Protection Volunteering: challenges and opportunities for 2040.

The panel aims to outline future strategies for an expanding and more engaged volunteer workforce, which is crucial in transforming civil protection. The primary themes of discussion will focus on accountability, safeguarding, attracting volunteers, and developing youth policies for the future of volunteering.

4. Emergencies
Resilience and innovation: crisis management between national territory and international scenarios.

The panel seeks to analyze and propose improvements for national and international emergencies to enhance the civil protection system's response, particularly in light of new global challenges.
