A day to raise awareness about the risks of the territory aimed at the primary school students of the Direzione Didattica "II Circolo di Perugia": this is an initiative organized as part of the National Civil Protection Week by Natura Urbana Associations, Polisportiva Polizia Perugia and AICS Perugia Provincial Committee. The program includes practice and in-depth theoretical moments with the total involvement of 150 students who, guided by experts, will have the opportunity to discover how to behave in case of emergency and watch closely practical activities, such as setting up a camp.

The Civil Protection of the Abruzzo Region is promoting a series of initiatives as part of National Week 2022. On October 13, at 10 AM, a videoconference meeting with the region's mayors to talk about the Civil Protection Plan. From October 10 to 14, "At School for Civil Protection," an initiative aimed at the students of the institutes "Don L. Milani" of Montereale (L'Aquila), "G. Spataro" of Gissi (Chieti), of Spoltore (Pescara) and "M. Hack" of Castellato-Cellino (Teramo). The project includes participatory frontal lessons on hydrogeological and hydraulic risk and the Civil Protection system, with brain storming and role playing activities. Also planned is a theatrical performance at the end of the course.

The civil protection volunteer association SASS-Servizi Ausiliari Security & Safety Puglia organizes in the municipalities of Bitonto and Palo del Colle, in the province of Bari, a meeting on the Civil Protection Plan, to discuss with citizens the knowledge of the risks of the territory, the actions foreseen by the Plan in case of emergency and self-protection behaviors.

The Campania Region is promoting a series of initiatives during the month of October as part of National Civil Protection Week. On Monday, October 10, at 9 AM, at Parco Reale of the Reggia di Caserta, there will be  "forest fire risk in UNESCO heritage sites" exercise, a Civil Protection exercise of the Campania Region for forest fire risk. In the afternoon, at 3:30 PM in Benevento, at the University of Sannio Studies, the conference "New scenarios of civil protection planning: the mayor as local Civil Protection authority and the role of the municipal group" will be held.

On Tuesday, October 11 at 10 AM, the initiative "Emergencies on the Coast: the importance of weather warnings and rescue at sea and in impervious areas" will take place. An exercise of the regional Civil Protection system that will involve the Port of Salerno, Molo Manfredi and beaches of Vietri sul Mare.

On Wednesday, October 12, at 10 AM, the topic of forest fires will be discussed in Caserta, in Piazza Vanvitelli, this time with the event "Civil Protection, an organization to defend forests from fires." The initiative is aimed at schoolchildren and includes a display of equipment and means of the entities of the regional Civil Protection system for the management of forest fire emergencies. 

On the afternoon of October 12, citizens will have the opportunity to visit an exhibition and watch practical demonstrations for emergency management in Naples at the City of Science. The theme of the event is "from volcanoes to earthquakes, forest fires to Covid-19 to humanitarian emergencies: many forces in the field for the regional Civil Protection system." On the morning of October 13, the same appointment will be dedicated to school groups.

On Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15, Ariano Irpino will commemorate the August 21, 1962 Irpinia-Sannio earthquake with the event "Seismic Risk and Resilient Communities," which will include exhibits and practical demonstrations of the Civil Protection system in Campania, while on the same days a national exercise of Water Rescue in Campania is scheduled in Bacoli to raise awareness of risks at sea.

On Sunday, October 16, an exercise on forest fire risk, with rescue in an impervious environment will be held in Castel Morrrone. The weekend of the Week also closes in Campania with the national " I don't take risks" campaign, which will involve 120 squares throughout the region.

There are numerous initiatives that the Civil Protection of the Region of Sardinia is promoting in the territory as part of the National Civil Protection Week 2022.

On October 10, in Nuoro, the meeting "State of municipal planning of civil protection in Sardinia: first data of the cognitive survey in implementation of the Delib. G.R. n. 67/20 of 31.12.2020" is scheduled at 10 AM, organized by the General Directorate of Civil Protection at the "Giovanni Lilliu" Auditorium. This is a Technical Meeting on the status of municipal civil protection planning in Sardinia on the data obtained from the fact-finding survey (in implementation of DGR 67/20 of Dec. 31.12.20) with prefects, municipalities and other structures and components of the regional Civil Protection system.

On La Maddalena, the event "Let's protect our coasts from oil pollution" is scheduled on the same date by the AVPC of La Maddalena, in collaboration with Coast Guard-Port Authority at Banchina Spalmatore. This is an at-sea demonstration on the use of hydrocarbon containment barriers, with a description of methods and equipment used for clean-up operations at sea and on land, the risks of contact and inhalation of hydrocarbons and derivatives, PPE to be used and first aid interventions.

On October 11, the Municipality of Goni invites the population to the square near the Town Hall for a meeting dedicated to flood risks. An opportunity for citizens to learn more about the rules of conduct and good practices.

On October 11 and 12, the event "Civil Protection on the territory" is scheduled in Oristano, Sassari, Cagliari and Nuoro, organized by the Civil Protection Territorial Services, with appointments dedicated both to schoolchildren and citizens, with the exhibition of equipment and means of the territorial modules, the setting up of camps for assistance to the population, and the realization of mini training courses on the regional and local Civil Protection system.

On the same days,"Open Operations Rooms" will be organized at the Civil Protection Headquarters in Cagliari: a guided tour of schoolchildren to the Integrated Regional Operations Room and the Decentralized Functional Center. During the initiative, Volunteer Organizations in the area will show the children some practical activities such as setting up a camp and deploying canine units to search for missing persons, and will delve into aspects related to social-health activities and radio networks.

On October 12, "My role in Civil Protection...how to behave in case of emergency" takes place in Lanusei, organized by Soccorso Alpino e Speleologico della Sardegna Piazza Donatori di Sangue, Lanusei: a station in which SASS technicians will illustrate the tasks of Soccorso Alpino in Civil Protection interventions, particularly in mountain and inaccessible scenarios and in the search for missing persons, and will provide information to minimize mountain-related risks.

On October 13 in Osilo, the initiative "My role in protection...how to behave in case of emergency" will be held by the municipality: an awareness-raising event with respect to self-protection rules dedicated to secondary schools and also open to citizens.

On October 14 in Carbonia, the municipality organizes an informative day at the "E. Loi" high school on Civil Protection issues and with a focus dedicated to hydrogeological risk.

Also on October 14, in Bonorva, the Meilogu Civil Protection Group will present to the population a project dedicated to environmental education starting with an awareness-raising activity dedicated to schoolchildren of all levels. The project "Let's Protect Our Territory" includes several activities concerning: knowledge of the territory, environmental pollution, the importance of separate waste collection, and prevention in the field of civil protection. The project also includes the activation of courses for drone use.

On the same date in Cagliari, a live and videoconference Comparison is planned among the participants of the Technical Table, established by DGR No. 67/20 of Dec. 31, 2020, on the current regional planning activity and the definition of optimal territorial and organizational areas. On October 15, also in Cagliari is scheduled "Informing and training in order not to risk," a cognitive meeting with the local CRI and the setting up of gazebos to inform citizens about the activities of the Red Cross with particular regard to those carried out in the field of civil protection.

A Civil Protection Day is scheduled for October 15 and 16 in Olbia. In the open space of the Nespolino, Olbia citizens will be able to meet Civil Protection volunteers from the Municipal Associations and learn more about the activities they carry out daily in the area through information materials, photographs, historical documentation, as well as practical demonstrations. During the two days, specific exercise activities are planned for the different associations: from the simulation of extinguishing a fire to the search for missing persons with the use of molecular dogs, from radio links to real-time monitoring of the territory with the cameras of the fire lookout on the Murta Maria hill. The event in collaboration with the Municipality of Olbia, San Pantaleo Association, Capo Ceraso Association, Friends of the Police, ERA Olbia The five Civil Protection Associations, and the Civil Protection Service of the Municipality of Olbia, devotes special attention to the municipal civil protection plan through 5 informational workshops held over 2 days to inform citizens and students about Civil Protection activities.

On October 16, the Order of Geologists of Sardinia launches the "Geological Landscapes & Prevention Scenarios" photo contest for its members. Starting with the concepts of landscape and geological vulnerability, the purpose of the event is to represent the sustainable vocations of the territory represented and invite a more conscious and responsible interaction between people and environment.

The initiatives of the Municipality of Ameglia as part of the National Civil Protection Week 2022 are entirely dedicated to young people. On October 11 and 13, students from the "Don Lorenzo Celsi" primary and secondary school will have the opportunity to learn more about civil protection through a day at the municipal headquarters, under the guidance of Ameglia's civil protection officer. The meetings will include a presentation of the new municipal civil protection plan and an in-depth look at the rules of self-protection to adopt in the event of an emergency. Students will also be involved in a guided tour of the civil protection headquarters, during which they will be able to have a close look at the equipment and means used every day and during an emergency for interventions in the area.

Young people will be the protagonists of the initiative organized by the Municipality of Desana as part of the National Civil Protection Week 2022. From October 11 to 13, students from the primary and secondary schools of the Asigliano Comprehensive Institute will have the opportunity to learn more about civil protection and good practices to follow in case of natural risks accompanied by the Costanzana civil protection volunteer group. For the occasion, means and equipment used during civil protection interventions will be displayed. A photographic exhibition on the activities carried out and a radio station will also be set up. During the event, meetings with Carabinieri foresters, canine units, firefighters and divers are planned. At the end of the activities, students will fill out a form to express their reflections on the civil protection topics covered.

The Convitto Nazionale "Torquato Tasso" boarding school in Salerno is organizing several events for students from October 11 to 14, with the aim of promoting the culture of risk prevention.

The initiative - carried out with the Lions Club of Salerno "Hippocratica Civitas" and the participation of the Civil Protection Sector Youth Group "Il Punto" Baronissi and the Public Assistance of Caposele - is supported by the Salerno Order of Engineers.

On October 11, students will participate as observers in the exercise "Emergencies on the Coast: the importance of weather warnings and rescue at sea and in inaccessible areas" organized in Salerno by the Regional Civil Protection System. Two webinars are also scheduled, "Risk Management in Prevention and Emergencies" (on October 12) and one dedicated to the national campaign "I don't take risks" (on October 14). October 13, will be dedicated to a direct discussion between students and volunteers.

On October 11 in Villa San Giovanni in Tuscia and on October 15 in Vetralla, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, the Rescue Volunteers will set up a gazebo and meet citizens to talk about civil protection: risks of the territory, self-protection rules, activities in ordinary and emergency, and the role of Civil Protection volunteers. Visitors will also have the opportunity to observe some equipment provided by the association.

    Thanks to the Minerbio Civil Protection's "Alert System" communication service, citizens will be informed in real time about weather warnings, suspension of services, road closures, and school closures for Civil Protection emergencies.

    From October 11 to 15, at the Prometeo Municipal Library in Minerbio, it will be possible to read informational materials on "Alert System" and register to the system from the library's internet stations. To raise awareness among Minerbio residents and invite them to join this service, during the month of October the municipality will set up information points in different areas of the city.

    From October 11 to 14, 2022, the Local Police - civil protection sector of San Giorgio Ionico has organized a series of initiatives to inform elementary and middle school students from all over the territory about flood, earthquake and fire risks. On Saturday, October 15, an exercise activity is also planned from 10 AM to 12:30 PM with the setting up of a base camp on the municipal territory involving citizens.

    The Basilicata Region is participating in the National Civil Protection Week 2022 with a series of initiatives on the territory: exercises, conferences, but also the National Campaign "Io Non Rischio - Good Practices of Civil Protection," which closes the activities of the Week.

    On Tuesday, October 11, an exercise organized by the Municipal Civil Protection Office is scheduled in Matera, in Constellations Square, with the participation of local volunteer associations with logistical support and movement of a light mobile column.

    On Thursday, October 13, on the occasion of the International Day for Disaster Reduction, "The Civil Protection System and the Management of Recent Emergencies" takes place in Potenza at the Stable Theater. The meeting opens at 9:30 AM with the participation of mayors, the scientific community, and Civil Protection Operational Structures.

    On Friday, October 14, 2022, the Matera Prefecture inaugurates the Integrated Operations Room at 10:30 AM to present the Provincial Emergency Plan.

    At the conclusion of the Week, on the weekend of October 15 and 16, the municipalities of Potenza, Matera Balvano, Castelluccio Inferiore, Castelluccio Superiore, Lauria, Maratea, Pignola, Tito, Venosa Montalbano, Pisticci, San Giorgio Lucano and Tricarico will participate in the National Campaign "I Don't Take Risks": two days in the streets to inform citizens about the risks of the territory and good Civil Protection practices.

    Many initiatives are planned by the Municipality, the Province and the Prefecture of Vercelli, together with the Piedmont Region, on the occasion of the National Civil Protection Week. First appointment on Tuesday 11 with the educational workshop "Go to PaniCOC," aimed at mayors in the province. An outreach activity in schools will follow on Thursday 13. Two events are scheduled for Friday 14: the inauguration of the Municipal Operations Room COC-COM-Radio Room EmercomNET and a conference on hydrogeological risk and the role of territorial planning. On Sunday 16, the appointment for all citizens is in the historic center of Vercelli, with an exhibition of Civil Protection vehicles and equipment.

    The Prefecture of Agrigento, in collaboration with local bodies and institutions, has organized a series of initiatives on the provincial territory on the occasion of the National Civil Protection Week. The events, aimed at the world of schools starts on October 11 and end on October 14, open to institutes that will apply to participate in the activities online or in person from October 11 to 13 at the Silvia Pellegrino classroom of the Free Municipal Consortium of Agrigento and on October 14, at the fire station in Santa Margherita Belice. The activities will end in Agrigento on Sunday, October 16, with a display of Civil Protection vehicles and exercise activities in Piazza Cavour and Viale della Vittoria.

    The Civil Protection of Roma Capitale has planned many events in several Municipalities and in some Fire Department headquarters. The initiatives range from the dissemination of the culture of risk prevention, through the distribution of information materials on the behaviors to adopt, to educational meetings aimed at students of elementary school and high schools, to illustrate the risks of the territory and the Civil Protection system. At the end of the week will be the national communication campaign "I Don't take risks - Good Practices of Civil Protection ", which will see the participation of the Capitoline Civil Protection on the final day of Sunday, October 16, in Colosseum Square.

    The Forlì-Cesena Prefecture, in agreement with the Regional Agency Territorial Security Service and Civil Protection of Forlì-Cesena, organizes on October 12 at 11 AM a meeting aimed at decision-makers and Civil Protection operators in the area on the topics of risk forecasting, prevention and mitigation, as well as emergency management and overcoming, with particular regard to scenarios related to climate change. In particular, after the Prefect's introduction, speeches will follow on "Risk forecasting and emergency management: the National Fire Department's water risk countering device," "AllertaMeteo: an information tool to support local authorities and the population," "Volunteering to support Civil Protection activities," and "Citizen participation in Civil Protection activities: the I don't take risks campaign."

    A day dedicated to civil protection issues aimed at citizens will take place in Rome's 8th City Hall from 11 AM to 1:30 PM. and from 3:30 PM to 6 PM at the conference hall of the municipal hub. The day, organized by the ANEP Ecosystem and Protection volunteer organization, will include an open discussion between volunteers and citizens on the risk of the territory and rules of behaviour.

    The Prefecture of Asti is participating in the National Week with the Civil Protection exercise on hydrogeological risk ASTI EXE 22. The exercise, which will take place on October 12 and 13, aims to verify the response of the Civil Protection system according to municipal and provincial planning; the exchange of information between territories and the different Coordination Operational Centers, municipal, inter-municipal and provincial; and the preparedness of Civil Protection volunteer teams. The exercise is mixed, for command post and on a full-scale.

    Two initiatives will take place in Bitetto, as part of the National Civil Protection Week 2022, by Emervol and the Bitetto Municipal Group.

    On Wednesday, October 12, at 6 PM, the public meeting "Hydrogeological risk mitigation strategies in the territory of Bitetto" is scheduled with the Mayor of the City of Bitetto and the Head of the Municipal Civil Protection.

    On Friday, October 14, at 6 PM, the meeting "Seismic risk and resilience in a low-hazard country," with a specialist in prevention and emergency management, will instead be broadcast online on the facebook page

    An event aimed at teachers in Parma, aimed at deepening the knowledge of the Civil Protection. This is the goal of the Open Day organized by the City of Parma on October 12, from 3 PM to 7 PM, at the Unified Civil Protection Center. The topics will include: climate change and natural disasters, natural and man-made risks in the area, local organizational models, self-protection behaviors and the volunteer network. Also, a guided tour of the Municipal Operations Center, the Radio Room for emergency telecommunications and the Emilia-Romagna Region Mobile Column Vehicle Depot is planned.

    Parma is also joining the "I Don't take risks" Campaign by setting up a gazebo in Piazza Garibaldi. Volunteers will spread good practices on risks on Saturday 15 from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday 16 from 10 AM to 1 PM Civil Protection personnel from the City of Parma will also be present in the square to provide information on the Civil Protection Plan and the warning system.

    The final event of the "Civil Protection Culture in Pills" project, organized by the Genoa Civil Protection Sector at the Lercari Library in Villa Imperiale , takes place on October 13. The project is part of a  program of Civil Protection risk prevention, involving the Civil Protection and Volunteer Enhancement Sector of Genoa, in collaboration with the Department of Education Sciences and the Department of Architecture Design of the University of Genoa, which involved primary and secondary school teachers, their students and, a school-work project, and also involved the students of the Leonardo da Vinci High School.

    Civil Protection, flooding, sustainable development, climate change and risk perception are the key words of the project, which aims to analyze the role of an informed community in the event of an emergency. From October 10 to 14, also at the Lercari Library, an exhibition will be set up with work created by students on these topics. A total of 46 primary and secondary school classes and three high school classes in the Genoa area participated in the "Civil

    The roundtable "You don't need to do it soon, you need to do it sooner" - organized with the Civil Protection Promotion Centers, Institutions and Operational Structures - aims to engage schools in a debate on the theme of prevention through stories, testimonies and reflections from Components and Operational Structures. The roundtable, promoted by the Prefect of Como with the help of the Province and Civil Protection volunteers, will be held at 09.00 a.m. at the library hall of the ISS Da Vinci- Ripamonti High School with the participation of the Prefecture, Mayors, Civil Protection Volunteer trainers "I Don't Take Risks," State Police, Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza and Fire Brigade.

    At 3 PM, in the afternoon, at the gardens area at Lake Como, a pathway will allow citizens to deepen their knowledge of Civil Protection., with stations of different operational structures.

    On 15 and 16 October the appointment is in the townsquare with the national campaign "I don't take risks."

    On October 13, the "Seismic Risk in Calabria: Assessment and Prevention" conference, organized by the Calabria Region, will be held in the Green Hall of the Regional Citadel in Catanzaro. Among the topics at the center of the debate, starting at 9:15 AM: the study and monitoring of seismogenic sources, the actions implemented by the State and the Region for risk reduction, future perspectives related to regulatory developments and new construction techniques, and the promotion of educational paths for the dissemination of the culture of prevention. A panel discussion will follow at 12:30 PM.

    On October 13, the seminar "A Network for the Environment," an initiative of CSVE-Centro di Servizi per il Volontariato Etneo, will take place from 6 to 8 PM in the Council Chamber of the City of Catania. Climate change and environmental disasters, risk mitigation, and opportunities for synergy between Civil Protection and environmental associations will be the themes of the discussion.

    The event will be live-streamed on the CSV Etneo YouTube channel and Facebook page @csvetneo.

    "Survival lessons: young people and Civil Protection" is the title of the initiative organized by the Municipality of Pieve a Nevole on Thursday, October 13, from 9 AM to 12 PM at the "G. Galileo" Comprehensive Institute. An opportunity for discussion and information provided by the Municipal Police, who will meet with third-grade students of the secondary school.

    During the morning of October 13 in Collesalvetti, at the weekly market and near the shopping center in Stagno, stands will be set up to invite the population to sign up for the Alert System and "Informed Citizen" citizen warning systems. The station will be equipped with a terminal to help citizens, with information leaflets on the different criticality and alert types providing indication of self-protection measures.

    The Civil Protection Association G.E.V. La Spezia is dedicating a day to young people. At the Civil Protection Pole in Santo Stefano di Magra, it will meet with "Isa 12" middle school students.

    The students, will experience a tour of the headquarters facilities, discovering equipment and intervention techniques, radio communication, means used in emergencies and good practices in prevention and Civil Protection.

    On International Day for Natural Disaster Risk Reduction, the Municipality of Poggio Bustone is organizing an initiative on October 13 to raise awareness of Civil Protection issues among the younger generation. The day is aimed primarily at primary and secondary school classes.

    The municipal sports stadium will host from 10 AM to 1 PM meetings that will include presentations to students on the activities carried out by volunteers. The aim is to spread knowledge about National Service and promote in younger people a sense of community and the value of active citizenship.

    During the morning, practical demonstrations on the use of the means provided by the Municipal Civil Protection Group are planned.

    On Thursday, October 13, from 5 PM to 7 PM, the Civil Protection of the Puglia Region has organized a webinar aimed at the prefectures, municipalities and civil protection volunteer associations to address the issues of municipal warning and planning, also in light of recent emergencies that have affected the national territory.

    The meeting "Prevention and management of forest and urban-rural interface fire risk. The situation of the Biella territory" is aimed at presenting two documents prepared by the Department of Fire, Public Rescue and Civil Defense of the Ministry of the Interior in collaboration with Anci, with directions to avoid risks related to forest fires that may develop near homes. The event was organized with the Civil Protection Sector of the Piedmont Region, the Fire Brigade Command together with the Piedmont Regional Fire Department, the Biella-Vercelli Carabinieri Forestry Group, volunteer organizations and the Union of Municipalities of Eastern Biella.

    AIVEM-Associazione Ingegneri Volontari per l'Emergenza, in collaboration with the University of Cassino and Lazio Meridionale, organizes a two-day event on seismic risk in Cassino. The program includes a technical activity on October 13 where faculty and foreign students from the university will meet AIVEM volunteers in the context of a post-earthquake scenario. On October 14, a public meeting on seismic risk and the Civil Protection Plan is scheduled. During the meeting, the results of the activity carried out by the students will be illustrated.

    On October 13 and 14, the Operations Center of the Coast Guard Auxiliary Budoni is organizing an initiative dedicated to Civil Protection themes at the Budoni and San Teodoro schools, with a focus on professionalism, equipment and means employed by the organization, self-protection rules in case of emergency and good Civil Protection practices.

    The Civil Protection Municipal Service of Partinico, in collaboration with local volunteer organizations, has organized three days of initiatives in local schools. The activities kick off on October 13 at the "Liceo Scientifico Statale Santi Savarino," where the presentation of the Municipal Emergency Plan is scheduled. During the morning, students will learn about how to behave in case of an emergency. Boys and girls will also be involved in a practical demonstration of first aid interventions. On October 14 and 15, meetings for primary and secondary school students continue in the same format. The three days of initiatives culminate in Partinico's participation in the National Campaign "I Don't Take Risks, Good Practices of Civil Protection," which this year takes place on the weekend of October 15 and 16.

    The Civil Protection Agency of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano has organized a series of initiatives as part of National Civil Protection Week 2022.

    On October 13, a Civil Protection alarm test is scheduled to take place this year for the eighth time since 1999.

    The sirens, which can be heard on the International Day for Disaster Reduction at 10:10 AM, are intended to "train" the attention of citizens and make people adopt the correct behavior. The goal is to recognize the meaning of these sirens: in the event of a Civil Protection alarm, citizens should seek shelter inside a building, and anyone in a building should close windows and doors, turn off ventilation and air conditioning, and turn on the radio or television, as in these cases the population information system is broadcast and the provincial Civil Protection provides information about what has happened and what to do.

    An educational afternoon aimed at teachers is also planned for October 14, which is part of a series of meetings scheduled between October and November. Opportunities will be offered to visit the school of the volunteer fire brigade in Vilpian, the Ponte Adige hydrometric station, the Emergency, Traffic, and Provincial Functional Center, the Weather Service, and the Situation Center at the Bolzano Permanent Fire Department.

    On October 15, in addition to participation in the national "I don't take risks" Campaign, an information day "Flood Events in Brixen" is scheduled. St. Albuin Street in the city of Brixen will be transformed into an information trail, where decision makers and practitioners will present insights on the topic of flood events. The entire population is invited to participate.

     

    On October 13, from 4 PM to 8:30 PM, the Municipality of Santeramo in Colle with the Municipal Group of Civil Protection Volunteers wil organise an Open Day on the functioning and activities of the local Civil Protection. Weather alerting, web app "Infoalert365 Santeramo," the role of volunteers, community resilience, territorial risks and proper self-protection behaviors, among the topics at the center of the Open Day. On Saturday, October 15, from 8 AM to 12:30 PM, an excursion to the "Lamalunga" area is scheduled to learn about its hydraulic and hydrogeological peculiarities and characteristics. On Sunday, October 16, in Garibaldi Square, from 10 AM to 6 PM, volunteers will meet citizens for the "I don't take risks" Campaign.

    From October 13-16, Gorizia will participate in the National Civil Protection Week with RESIFESTGO, the Resilience Festival, a great opportunity for decision-makers, Civil Protection practitioners and citizens to discuss resilience, from a cross-border and European perspective. Simulation activities, confrontations, round tables and a "Citizens Jury" will help, during the week, to define the goals of the resilience strategy of the City of Gorica. The initiative is organized by the City of Gorizia and the ISIG-Institute of International Sociology of Gorizia, thanks to the collaboration of many other actors in the local and cross-border Civil Protection system.

    The program of initiatives includes on October 13, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, the conference "Participation and Emergency Management," and from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM the technical seminar "From Emergency Management to Community Resilience: European Good Practices and Lessons Learned on Forest Fire Management." On October 14, the Civil Protection exercise on hydrogeological and hydraulic risk #GOtoRESILOC will start at 3 PM, with a scenario that will involve citizens from 4:30 to 7 PM. The exercise activities will continue on Saturday 15 and will end the 16th with a technical debriefing, which will take place from 8 AM to 11 AM. Also on Sunday 16, from 10 AM to 12 PM, a "Citizens Jury" will be asked to discuss the strategic resilience goals of the City of Gorica, while a closing ceremony will take place from 12 PM.

    The Emilia-Romagna Region is participating in the National Civil Protection Week 2022 with a series of initiatives on the territory: training days, conferences, and the National Campaign "I don't take risks - Good Practices of Civil Protection," which closes the activities within the Week.

    On October 13,in Modena is scheduled a meeting with Civil Protection components and authorities of the provincial territory on emergency planning and alerting.

    On October 14, there will be a training day in Ravenna dedicated to local administrators, Public Managers and Officials, Police Forces and all Civil Protection Volunteer Associations on issues related to responsibility profiles in Civil Protection, exercise of civil protection functions in the light of Regional Council Resolution No. 1103 of July 4, 2022, implementing the Directive of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers April 30, 2021.

    In Bologna, on October 15, the event "Civil Protection Volunteering: ten years after the earthquake, a new pact for the future" dedicated to all components of the regional Civil Protection System is scheduled.

    Also on October 15, the center of Ravenna will see the "Citadel of Civil Protection": Institutions and Volunteer Associations will meet to involve citizenship in a series of initiatives aimed at implementing a culture of safety in the territory, to foster awareness of natural and anthropogenic risks of the territory and improving the behaviors to adopt in case of emergency.

    October 10 to 15 also marks the end of the training course for agibilitator technicians (AeDES), involving the training of 250 new technicians.

    At the end of the Week, on the weekend of October 15 and 16, Emilia-Romagna also participates in the National "I don't take risks" Campaign with 51 associations involved and 39 squares: two days to inform citizens about the risks of the territory and good Civil Protection practices.

    In Allumiere on October 14 there is "Towards Lumiere 2022," the first event of a series of demonstration days dedicated to the world of civil protection, carried out by the AEOPC Italy Regional Coordination in collaboration with the municipal administration and the Civil Protection Municipal Group. From 10:30 AM to 7 PM, local Civil Protection volunteers will meet citizens in Republic Square to illustrate operational activities and show the Civil Protection equipment used during forest firefighting operations and in case of bad weather-related emergencies. The day will also be repeated on October 21, 22 and 23-will also be an opportunity to talk to citizens about good Civil Protection practices and rules of conduct to be adopted in case of an emergency.

    The Albatros Cultural Association with the Civil Protection Municipal Group and the Municipality of Roccagorga has organized, for October 14, the initiative "Step by Step": a green day to raise citizens' awareness on an environment-friendly behavior. The activities will cover not only the rural areas of the country but also the inland areas with reclamation and cleaning of parts of the historic center of Roccagorga and adjacent areas.

    On October 14, Civil Protection volunteers from the Municipality of Cerignola will meet with students of the fifth grades of I.T.E.T. Dante Alighieri, to set up a dialogue with the children on civil protection issues.

    The meeting will focus on the National Civil Protection Service and its structure and the way it operates in the territory, others moments will be dedicated to the presentation of the Municipal Civil Protection Plan of Cerignola.

    The informative phase will be followed by a practical moment of demonstration of the use of the association's equipment during emergency interventions.

    The school is the place of learning and training. For this reason, the City of Pozzallo is organizing an initiative on October 14 to promote the culture of Civil Protection on the territory. The protagonists will be elementary school children, who will learn about some of the activities implemented in the event of an emergency, under the guidance of Pozzallo Civil Protection volunteers and a police dog team.

    Practical demonstrations are planned, but also theoretical insights with specific reference to the activities carried out by the Civil Protection, as well as good practices to adopt in emergency situations. The goal is to promote the ability to recognize the risks of the territory and to mature conscious behavior.

    The Municipality of Felino and Unione Pedemontana Parmense are participating in the 2022 edition of the National Civil Protection Week with the simulation, on October 14 and 15, of the setting up of a reception area for the population. The camp, set up in the green area near Via XX Settembre, will simulate the reception of citizens in case of a multi-risk emergency event. The area will be open to primary and secondary school classes of Felino Municipality, as well as to all citizens from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM on Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15. Pneumatic and traditional tents, a field secretariat, a health care point, and the command center will be visitable. As part of the initiative, local Voluntary Associations will present their activities within the Civil Protection system, while games and workshop activities are planned for the younger ones. On October 14, in the afternoon, a simulation of a missing persons search scenario with dog units and drones is planned.

    "The Citizen and Civil Protection" is the title of the initiative organized by the City of Cisterna di Latina on October 14 and 15 aimed at elementary schools. At the natural park "Il Filetto" and in Piazza XIX Marzo, there will be exercise activities, the set up field tents and booths where some of the equipment provided by the Civil Protection will be displayed.

    The Municipality of Aradeo participates in Civil Protection National Week 2022 with two initiatives aimed at all citizens. On October 14, with a public meeting at 7 PM in Piazza San Nicola, the main
    city square on the theme "Climate Change: Prevention and Resilience." The meeting will be attended by the Mayor of the Municipality of Aradeo, the Civil Protection Councilor, the head of the Civil Protection/Local Police office, the President of the Local Civil Protection Volunteer Organization, and a Disaster Manager, editor of the Civil Protection Plan of the Municipality of Aradeo. To close the Week, on October 16 from 9:30 AM, Aradeo will also host an awareness day with the presence of ADMO-Bone Marrow Donor Association. The appointment in the square will also be an opportunity to raise awareness on Civil Protection themes with a focus on municipal Civil Protection activities and good practices to adopt in case of emergency.

    October 15, in the Municipality of Carbonia, a day dedicated to the history of Civil Protection. An exhibition dedicated to Civil Protection risks and activities will be set up in Piazza di Roma. Floods, earthquakes, fires, but also climate change and humanitarian emergency due to the crisis in Ukraine: these will be the focus of the 10-panel exhibition, which citizens can visit accompanied by Civil Protection volunteers.

    On October 15, the National Coordination of Civil Protection Association "Gruppo Lucano," in collaboration with the Municipality of Avigliano, is organizing a public meeting at 10:30 AM in the cloister of the City Palace. During the meeting, the activities carried out by the association during the year and the initiatives aimed at citizens and volunteers planned for 2023 will be illustrated. The association's 14th National Gathering, which will take place in Avigliano on October 30, will also be presented.

    On October 15, as part of the National Civil Protection Week, the Municipal Group of Civil Protection Volunteers of the City of Biella is organizing an initiative aimed at citizens in Via Italia in Biella with a promotional stand and an exhibition of equipment and vehicles used by the volunteers for interventions in the area. The day will be an opportunity to invite citizens to visit the headquarters of the Municipal Group, with the aim of attending future meetings to learn more about the Group's activities and the possibility of signing up.

    Scheduled in San Giorgio Lucano on October 15 at 6:30 PM, the Round Table "Let's Protect the Sarmento River" a discussion on the hydrogeological instability. The meeting, moderated by Civil Protection President Gruppo Lucano, will be attended by the mayor of San Giorgio Lucano and the mayors of Valsarmento, and experts in the field. The panel discussion, open to the public, will be held in the council chamber of the municipality.

    The Municipality of Sondrio will participate in the National Civil Protection Week. On Saturday, October 15, a day to raise awareness and inform the population on Civil Protection themes with a focus on the rules of behavior to adopt in case of emergency. The day will be attended, in Piazza Garibaldi, by the Municipal Civil Protection and Forest Fire Group, Valtellina Sub Group, the Cisom group river searches and Canine Units for searching for missing persons, with their equipment and technical devices, including a drone. The day will also be an opportunity to explain to citizens the main risk scenarios of the new Emergency Plan, recently approved by the city council. The presentation of the Plan will also be attended by the geologist who supervised its preparation.

    On Saturday, October 15, in Rome, volunteers from the Guardie per l'Ambiente Association will present an open day, from 10 AM to 12:30 PM, at Viale Palmiro Togliatti 280 dedicated to citizens. The aim is to raise awareness of basic civil protection issues, encourage the adoption of conscious behavior and prevention and self-protection measures, and convey good civil protection practices.

    On October 15, from 09:30 AM, the Anc No. 18 Unit will simulate in Pontedera, at the Amalia Lakes in Via delle Prunacce, the rescue of a person from drowning through the use of a drone. An initial intervention is planned with the release of the baywatch and subsequent rescue by water rescue dogs. A person will then be rescued by dinghy following a drowning. The exercise activity is open to all citizens.

    "Civil Protection at School" comes from the will to help students, families, friends and the territory understand the dedication of the civil protection volunteers.
     
    The ISIS Europa of Pomigliano, and specifically the address "Services for Health and Social Assistance," have the task of educating children to active citizenship and introduce them to the local realities that are involved in preventing, protecting and intervening in case of extraordinary events that may endanger the safety of the population in the area. For this reason, Saturday, October 15, volunteers from the Pomigliano Civil Protection Volunteer will meet third, fourth and fifth grade students.
     

    "Civil protection open doors" is the title of the initiative organized by the Municipality of Calci on October 15 and 16. On Saturday, October 15, from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, municipal officials and civil protection volunteers will meet citizens in the operations room of the Monte Pisano Intermunicipal Civil Protection Center to talk about civil protection activities, procedures and equipment, the types of risks in the area and self-protection rules. A demonstration activity of the National Association of Volunteer Firefighters-Dog Unit Section will take place in the garden area. Activities to raise public awareness of civil protection issues, with opportunities for insights and distribution of popular materials will continue in Garibaldi Square on Sunday, October 16, from 2:30 to 6 PM.

    On October 15 and 16 in Martina Franca will take place the "United in Relief" initiative, this year in its second edition, organized by Public Assistance AR27, the Civil Protection Nucleus National Carabinieri Association Section of Martina Franca and the CRI - Martina Franca Committee in collaboration with the CNSAS Puglia Regional Section. The event aims to raise awareness of Civil Protection issues. On Saturday, October 15, there will be information stand, an exhibition of vehicles and equipment, demonstration of first aid maneuvers, road education routes for children up to 6 years old, and simulation of activities for extinguishing a fire.

    On Sunday, October 16, a BLS Mass Training activity is scheduled as part of the World Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Day with the inauguration of a new ambulance of the CRI Martina Franca Committee. To conclude the weekend, on Sunday afternoon, there will be a Civil Protection exercise involving the simulation of an interface fire with the involvement of the population. The evacuation exercise will be accompanied by an information activity aimed at citizens on regulatory aspects and standards of behavior. The exercise scenario also includes the recovery of a missing person in an impervious area with the involvement of CNSAS.

    Demonstrative maneuvers, recreational activities dedicated to children and youth, and public dialogues open to all citizens: this is the "Trentino Civil Protection Weekend." The leitmotif of the initiative - which will transform Piazza Dante into a citadel of civil protection - is the theme of hydraulic and hydrogeological risk, addressed by enhancing the role that each citizen can play to self-protect and to protect others and the environment. Promoted by the Autonomous Province and the Municipality of Trento, the weekend will involve all the Operational Structures of the territory, present with means and equipment.

    "The Civil Protection presents itself" is the title of the initiative of Sunday, October 16, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II in the Municipality of Lodi Vecchio. During the day, local Civil Protection volunteers will present their equipment and vehicles, telling about their activities in ordinary and emergency situations. A stand for younger children will be set up, with board games and themed panels.

    October 16 for the City of Tarquinia will be a day dedicated to forest protection.  From 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, at the business center of the Agricultural University of Tarquinia, volunteers of the AEOPC Civil Protection of Tarquinia, with municipal administrators that will meet citizens in the Roccaccia forest to illustrate the activities to protect the territory's forest heritage and, in particular, the activities carried out in case of emergency.

    Also, there will be a focus on the operational activities implemented during the summer forest firefighting campaign to safeguard an area that has over 2,600 hectares of forest assets. As part of the initiative - organized by the AEOPC Italy Regional Coordination in collaboration with the Municipal Administration, the Agricultural University and the AEOPC Tarquinia Civil Protection Association - there will be an exhibition of firefighting vehicles and distribution of information materials to illustrate to citizens the correct behavior to adopt in case of emergency.

    On Sunday, October 16, 2022, volunteers from the Fukyo Association will be present at Sannazzaro Park in Rome from 9 AM to 12:30 PM with vehicles and equipment to meet with citizens and raise awareness on Civil Protection issues and activities carried out in support of the territory, with particular reference to the conclusion of the recent summer forest fire campaign.     Explain to citizens the importance of their role within the Civil Protection System, discuss the risks present in the area, and promote resilience through conscious behaviors and good practices. This is the goal of a guided tour of the Municipal Operations Center and Operations Headquarters, organized in Minervino di Lecce on Sunday, October 16 starting at 9:30 AM. The visit is organized by the Civil Protection Municipal Volunteer Group.

    The civil protection of the City of Desio has organized for Sunday, October 16, an initiative in Piazza Conciliazione for citizens. Information panels will be set up and an exhibition of vehicles used for interventions in the area by the Desio Civil Protection volunteer group will be organized. The day will also be an opportunity to illustrate the Civil Protection Plan to citizens with speeches by the councillor for safety and the local police commander, who is also coordinator of the Desio Civil Protection Volunteer Group.
